Ja, das Update von den Florida Keys war schon beim letzten Mal dabei. Genauso wie das Update von Alexandria.

Das wären meine Lösungen zum "Where in the World is ..." gewesen. Wie gesagt bei den Florida Keys war ich mir nicht sicher, ist wohl auch falsch da nach nur einer Insel gefragt wird.

Alexandria hingegen war zwar auch schon beim letzten mal dabei, scheint aber nochmal in größerem Ausmaß erneuert worden zu sein.

Bahamas - The blue green waters of the Bahamas are back!.

Alles was in Deutschland "geupdated" wurde war schon im historischen Bildmaterial vorhanden und ist somit auch nicht in der offiziellen KMZ enthalten.

Es fällt auf, dass in D Aktualisierungen höchst selten stattfinden.

Viele Gebiete (z.B. zwischen KA und FR) sind fast 10 Jahre alt und
von sehr schlechter Qualität. Da sind Bilder in der Sahara z.T. besser
und aktueller!

Was soll das?

Hallo jaci,

Es ist keineswegs so, dass Aktualisierungen für Deutschland höchst selten stattfinden. Google geht es primär darum, die Gebiete in HiRes-Auflösung anzubieten. Dies ist für uns vor etwa 3 Jahren geschehen. Ganz Deutschland war auf einmal in hoher Auflösung. Damit müssen wir uns nun erstmal begnügen - es wollen auch noch andere Länder flächendeckend gute Qualität der Bilder (z.B Osteuropa, Südamerika).
Wir haben das Glück, dass für das deutsche Katasteramt entsprechende Luftaufnahmen gemacht wurden, diese stammen überwiegend von GeoContent und wurden in den Jahren 2000 bis 2004 angefertigt. Google hat die Bilder einfach gekauft. Andere Länder haben vielleicht keine Organistationen die flächendeckende Luftbilder Ihres Landes angefertigt haben. Für diese Gebiete muss Google alle Bilder einzeln kaufen (NASA, TerraMetrics, DigitalGlobe).
Es gibt ja noch AeroWest, die für Ballungszentren Ultra-HiRes Fotos anbieten (Bremen, Dortmund, Berlin). Auch diese werden ab und zu aktualisiert.

Ich denke, dass die Nachfrage nach Satellitenbildern zwecks Landkartendieste enorm angestiegen ist. Deshalb ist damit zu rechnen, dass es in den kommenden Jahren viele Neue Bilder geben wird, auch für Deutschland.

und wieder no germany.

Also ich überlege langsam, mal an Google einen Bescherde-Brief zu schrieben.

Denn bisher wurden immer alle anderen Länder verbessert nur nicht Deutschland. Und mal ganz ehlich: Wen interessiert es denn, ob in der Wüste in Afrika jetzt ein Teil etwas besser aufgelöst ist(bei dem man zwar immer noch nichts erkennen kann, aber naja)? Dann soll Google doch lieber die Daten neu aktualisieren, wo die Leute auch wirklich was davon haben. Ist meine Meinung.

Aber nein, da wird zum tausendsten Mal irgendwo in Afrika ein Teil "verbessert" und die Farbe der Aufnahme ändert sich von Grün auf rotbraun. Und was haben wir davon?

Und was ich auch sehr lustig finde ist, dass Google z.B mit Streetview so einen Wind in Deutschland macht und dann kommts ewig nicht raus und sogar andere Länder wie die Niederlande(wann wurden da eigentlich die Aufnahmen gemacht?), werden eigentlich ohne viel Trara eingefügt und eigentlich merken es am Anfang nur wenige. Denn das es SW jetzt auch in Taiwan gibt, hab ich auch erst hier erfahren.

Entschuldigt meine vielleicht etwas negative Ansicht, aber irgendwie musste ich mal Frust ablassen.

Google Earth ist nun mal nicht nur für Deutschland und seine deutschen Nutzer gemacht.

Man muss in BY/D ja schon zufrieden sein, wenn das lange vermisste, bereits 2002 eröffnete Legoland endlich auf einem Stand von 2003 angekommen ist - ja es ist wirklich etwas aktueller geworden. Bis vor Kurzem war noch der Stand 2001 im Legoland-Bau-Zu-Stand der aktuellste.

Die riesige, 2005 aufgestellte Allianzarena ist zwar immer noch nicht zu sehen, aber immerhin! Vergessen wir nicht: Ein Schritt vorwärts ist schließlich kein Schritt rückwärts...

Windsor genießt da eine ganz andere Priorität: dort befinden wir uns anno spätes 2008!
